First Lady Prothro's Biography

Proverbs 31:10 asks a question, Who can find a virtuous woman? We have found one and her name is Donna Prothro; but virtuous is only one of her few great traits. She is patient, loving, consoling, and she has hands that heal. As a registered nurse at Dekalb Medical Center, First Lady ministers, through medicinal forms, to patients who are battling cancer. Her delicate care not only soothes the natural part of the patient, it consoles the spirit side as well.

First Lady Donna Prothro is a native of Alabama; born in Pell City and raised in Oxford/Hobson City, Alabama. She is the fifth child of Matthew and Emma (deceased) Burks. As a child and teenager, she was very involved with Sunday school and the Usher Board at Rising Star United Methodist Church. There she accepted Christ at the age of eleven and began her spiritual journey.

First Lady and Apostle Prothro grew up in the same small town and attended the same church. During their teen years their relationship shifted from church acquaintances to romantic interests. After nearly two years of courting/ dating, in 1975 they united in Holy matrimony.

From this union three beautiful children (Precious, Crystaline, and Sir James) have emerged. In addition to their natural children they have a host of church daughters and sons with whom they have shared much love.

First Lady Prothro is a very open-hearted woman and gladly accepts the role of mother for all those who are in need. She has aspirations of beginning a deaf ministry and a home health care service. She considers her gift of nursing others back to health as a ministry, not a talent. She also extends this healthcare ministry through an herbal nutritional system called Biometics. (Please e-mail her for further information.)

First Lady is involved in several aspects of the ministry at Free Gospel. She is a great example of a spiritual woman and encourages all women to look ahead and hold their heads up, never picking up the trash (those negative things that have already been thrown away in one’s life) again.
